These Terms and Conditions govern the use of 4Drive Armenia services. By making a booking through our website, you accept these terms in full. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your reservation.
4Drive Armenia acts as a booking platform connecting customers with local rental companies operating across Armenia. We facilitate online reservations and advance payments. The actual rental agreement is concluded directly between you and the rental company at the time of vehicle collection. Each rental company operates under its own terms, which are provided in your booking voucher.
Our service covers locations throughout Armenia, including Yerevan, Gyumri, Dilijan, Tsaghkadzor, and Sevan. Vehicle handover takes place at designated collection points - rental desks, airport terminals, or hotel delivery - depending on the rental company assigned to your booking.
When you complete a booking on our website, you receive a confirmation voucher containing details of your reservation, the assigned rental company, collection instructions, and contact information. This voucher must be presented at vehicle collection along with your driving documents.
The rental agreement itself is signed upon collection. The rental company staff will inspect the vehicle with you and record any existing damage in the agreement. Read all terms in the rental agreement carefully before signing. The agreement defines your rights and obligations during the rental period, including mileage allowances, permitted driving areas, and damage liability.
If any terms in the rental agreement differ from what was stated in your voucher, contact us immediately at [email protected] before accepting the vehicle.
At the time of booking, you pay a booking advance online by debit or credit card. This advance secures your reservation and is applied toward the total rental amount. The remaining balance is payable at vehicle collection.
Accepted payment methods for the balance depend on the specific vehicle you have booked. Your voucher specifies whether the rental company accepts debit cards, credit cards, or cash for the balance payment. Not all vehicles can be collected using a debit card alone. Check your voucher carefully and prepare the appropriate payment method before collection.
We do not accept cash payments online. All online transactions are processed securely through card payment systems.
Many vehicles in our system are available with no deposit required at collection. For these vehicles, the rental company does not block or hold any amount on your card as security.
For other vehicles, a deposit may be required. The deposit is a temporary hold placed on your card by the rental company to cover potential damage, fuel shortages, traffic fines, or other charges. Deposit requirements vary by vehicle and are stated clearly in your booking voucher. The deposit is independent of insurance coverage or excess amounts.
If a deposit is required and you are using a debit card, ensure your card has sufficient available limit to cover both the balance payment and the deposit hold. The deposit is released after the vehicle is returned and inspected, typically within several days depending on your card issuer.
The primary driver must present a valid driving licence at collection. Foreign licences are accepted in Armenia. An International Driving Permit is recommended to accompany your national licence, though requirements may vary by rental company.
The driver must meet the age and experience requirements specified in the booking voucher. Additional drivers can be added at collection for a fee payable directly to the rental company. Each additional driver must present valid driving documents and will be registered in the rental agreement.
All drivers must comply with Armenian traffic regulations. Urban speed limits are 60 km/h, intercity roads 90 km/h, and highways 110 km/h unless otherwise posted. Armenia has right-hand traffic.
Vehicles must be driven only on maintained roads suitable for their type. Off-road driving is generally prohibited unless you have rented a 4x4 vehicle and the rental agreement explicitly permits it. Mountain roads throughout Armenia can be narrow and winding. Gravel surfaces are common on routes to remote monasteries and highland areas.
Crossing into Georgia is allowed only with written permission from the rental company. This permission must be arranged in advance when making your booking, as it requires additional documentation and typically incurs a fee. Crossing into other neighbouring countries is not permitted under any circumstances.
Fuel stations are widely available in cities and major towns. In mountainous areas, fuel stations become less frequent, so plan refuelling stops accordingly. Winter brings snow to higher elevations, and some mountain passes may be closed or require winter tyres and chains.
Optional equipment such as child seats, GPS units, and additional insurance coverage can be requested at booking or added at collection. Fees apply and are payable to the rental company.
You may request changes to your booking by contacting us at [email protected]. Changes are subject to availability and may affect the rental rate. Cancellation terms are outlined in your booking confirmation. Refunds of the advance payment depend on how far in advance you cancel and the specific cancellation policy applicable to your booking.
If you fail to collect the vehicle at the scheduled time without prior notice, the booking may be treated as a no-show and the advance payment forfeited.
Your liability for damage to the vehicle is governed by the rental agreement signed with the rental company. Insurance coverage and excess amounts are specified in that agreement and in your voucher. We are not a party to the rental agreement and do not assume liability for damage, theft, accidents, traffic violations, or any other matters arising during the rental period.
You are responsible for any traffic fines, parking charges, or toll fees incurred during your rental. The rental company may charge these to your card or deduct them from the deposit if applicable.
If you experience any issues during vehicle collection or the rental period, contact the rental company immediately using the contact details provided in your voucher. Most problems can be resolved quickly through direct communication with the company handling your rental.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Armenia. Any disputes arising from the use of our booking service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Armenian courts. The rental agreement you sign with the rental company is also governed by Armenian law.
